Something beautiful to share with you today: a pattern for this jacket, with timeless class. I want* it. Simple elegance, easy to knit. What I like about this jacket is the color combination: champagne body, offset by traditional Chinese closures, called ‘Chinese frogs’, in black.
(* want vs need: With already 2 silk Chinese jackets in my closet, I don’t need it but I like it as it’s a different color and something new. My other ones are bubblegum pink (obtained in Paris last year) and fuchsia (obtained in Shang Hai 20 years ago!)

Other simple, elegant, style details: Mandarin collar, side slits, material texture and flow of the yarn and stitches.
What is also different of this soft silky Chinese jacket is that it is not made with silk, but with silky yarn, making it less expensive.
This Lionbrand yarn called Mircospun has a silky-smooth texture. It is a light worsted, super-soft, micro-fiber yarn. It comes in stunning tropical colors as well as sophisticated neutrals. As it is 100% Micro-Fiber Acrylic, it is easily machine washable.
So, I’ve put the pattern for this jacket in my collection of awesome knitting patterns. To obtain free access to my pattern & template collection: see below.
