1. Amigurumi Crochet Elephant
I am starting to really like Phil’s wife, and all her various projects that she shows us. This thing she just made now is soooo cute, I just HAD to feature it.
What do you think??
Her crochet elephant was made using this book, Easy Crochet Critters
.
So, diligent as I am, I had a look at the book, and I can recommend it. It is an inexpensive crochet pattern book ($1.50-$5) with 10 cuter-than-cute amigurumi animals: an elephant, hippo, monkey, giraffe, alligator, lion, seal, walrus, penguin, and a snowy owl.
The crochet amigurumi animals are about 4-8” tall. Love ‘m!
2. Magic Lantern DIY
A canvas with extra layer of cut-outs is the secret behind this inventive magic lantern lamp.
Well done, Wesens Art, and thank you for the step-by-step instructions on your blog.
3. Handmade Rug
An old bed sheet, embellished with markers for color-highlights, cut into strips and sewn around approx. 120 yards of inexpensive thin rope. Voila some craft room mats.
Patience (6 hrs for the highlighting of the fabric alone!) + improved sewing skills made this rug happen. Wow, such tenacity! What an inspiration. You go, Fifi!!!
(May we all have such will-power to finish off projects despite adversity, miscalculations, unforeseen oops and other such things that are usually on the way of the average craft-minded soul.)
