:: Ikea Furniture Makeover :: If you are the lucky owner of an Ikea Poang chair than today’s article is for you: it’s a free sewing pattern for an Ikea Poang chair slipcover.

At only $69, the Ikea Poang chair has to be one of Ikea’s most popular chairs. This chair has been around for a long time. I think that everyone at some point in his/her lifetime had this chair.
My roommate, and thus I, had this chair in college. Even back then, it was boring white. Actually, slightly off-white but not quite cream color. That, with the curved blond wood, made me say ‘nah’… to it. To make this chair inexpensively, Ikea made this chair in just a few colors and back then there were no patterned chair covers. Boring. I was not a fan of the look of this chair.
Comfort !!
However, …. it is one of the most comfortable chairs I ever had. And it goes well with modern decor.
The Ikea Poang as Baby Room / Nursing Chair
Furthermore, together with its foot rest, is perfect for a nursing room. It’s rocking chair-like nature makes this chair ideal for holding that baby, nursing it and rocking it to sleep.
The dilemma!
If only…. we could beautify this chair!
Drmm Drmmm…

Now we can! Here’s a pattern to cover the chair with a pretty fabric, which totally transforms the look!
