2017 has arrived. 2016 was a pivotal year for many people. Me inclusive. I got to work many hours on my digital marketing consulting business which is taking off big-time. But it’s been leaving me oh-so-few hours for crafting and blogging.

(( The over-sized scarf featured in the photo is a super-versatile triangle wrap, that can be worn in many ways. So, if you see some yarn on sale, give it a go. It’s an easy pattern – a project you could accomplish on a train commute, or so. ))
A Year in Review
Despite the time limits, I did make a few patterns and updated some older ones. Here are my highlights for 2016:

Happy New Year
Now, with a new sense of reality for the year ahead, I must focus at FineCraftGuild’s blog post topics, so I will have time to create new patterns. I’ll be cutting out a lot of different kind of crafts that are just too hard to maintain.
Looking at the analytics, it’s clear. You guys tell me that ‘hats and scarf knitting patterns’ should be my focal point. As that’s a tat too narrow for my creative mind, in 2017 I am planning to share:
1. Knitting patterns – new patterns by me. (Yes, hats, scarves and more.)
2. Crochet patterns – new patterns by me. (ditto)
3. Sewing & quilting patterns – best of the web, fit for the season
4. Bits and pieces of my creative life, e.g. some recipes, paper crafts, kids crafts, — studded with lots of inspirational photos to live soulfully creative.
That’s it.
My New Year Wishes for You
I too wish you a productive year ahead, with lots of focus. Focus on completion, if you, like me, have lots of UFO’s (unfinished objects) laying around. LOL.
I wish my crochet & knitting friends lots of lovely soft and yarny things, and my sewing / quilting following fabulous fabrics, on sale.
Of course, I will you lots of health, happiness, joy of being creative – making lovely soft gifts for friends and family. I will do my best to design things you will want to make. If you haven’t found it here yet, ask me, and I will design it for you (that’s how half of my designs this year came to fruition).
A big hug to you all!
