Flattering Long Jacket Crochet Pattern

Crochet Patterns

This flattering long jacket crochet pattern is just the one you’ve been looking for. Perfect Fall jacket: worn open as a cover up during the day on a sunny day for lunch outside. Soft and snuggly, can be worn around the house.

If you haven’t yet worked with Lionbrand’s homespun yarn before, you’ll be surprised how incredibly soft it is. I adore the lovely texture of this yarn. You can buy it in solids (link below) and painterly self-striping.

One bit of warning: as this is already a long jacket, and the weight of this yarn will make it stretch a tat, I’d ensure that I make it initially slightly shorter than I’d like it to be over time, or adjust the pattern a tat so that the pockets are a tat higher. Up to you. It’s not a big deal if you like really oversized clothing though.

Because of the size of the project, I would not call this a beginners pattern. It’s best to read the pattern twice and think it through before beginning. The pocket section/collar is rolled over so you need to get it clear in your mind how that translate to the stitches you make. Other than that, it’s really easier than you think.

I think this is a beautiful jacket. I can’t wait to make it.
