:: DIY Sliding Barn Doors (for a bedroom closet) is today's beautiful home decor feature :: I would love to be able to make myself some gorgeous barn doors like this one. Now with Lyn's breakdown of this oh-so-useful DIY project, I can actually imagine doing it. I had no clue what was involved, nor that you could use a recycled regular door for this. Did you?
Before we get to the how-to of this wonderful feature, let me take a minute to introduce this week's linky party. Thank you all for sharing your amazing contributions, week after week.

This week's featured blogger is Lyn Moon from Repurposed for Life. Please follow her too. You'll find her social media buttons on her blog, as well as the party feature...
Lyn's featured project: DIY Sliding Barn Doors
Lyn shared "One thing I wanted for Christmas was a barn door for my closet." In her personal story she wrote on her blog that she had a small walk-in closet in her bedroom. And on that small closet was door that swung inwards, into the closet, making the area behind that door effectively useless.

Now she has a barn door which does not only look like a million dollars and totally transforms her bedroom into a dream room-look. It also adds significant storage space by making her current storage closet fully functional.

How to DIY Sliding Barn Door Hardware
What I particularly love about Lyn's article is how she explains - so simply - how it's done. See here she demonstrates how to put the hardware up (while showing the remnants of the before-situation). It's excellent. I feel so inspired by it.

There are many more photos in the tutorial on Lyn's post. So, go visit Lyn's blog for her greatly illustrationed tutorial to DIY Sliding Barn Doors.
