Hi! I made some vintage French wrapping paper to cover some notebooks yesterday. I thought to share it with you.

Paris-Inspired Recipe Holder DIY
As well, I realize for some time now that these recipes on my computer are a nuisance with my hands covered with flour, so I want a set of good old fashioned recipe cards, handmade of course, in my kitchen. I extended my French notebook graphics with some French food label images. I decoupage-ed an old teabag box with a simple photo copy of my design and some ordinary household glue. Voila: a French-inspired DIY recipe holder. Life can be so simple and so beautiful. Tres Beau!!
While I was covering up that quintessential English tea box with my vintage French paper art, I realized that I was covering up British designs with French designs. Mmmm…. That’s interesting….
DIY Recip Box
With just the paper, the recipe box still looks a bit unfinished. But that’s nothing that a few glitter gems and a couple of flower stickers can’t fix. Just look at that. A pretty DIY recipe box with vintage French paper.
I put my old French lessons to some good use.
Hopefully there are no spelling mistakes… ?!! (wink)
I made this box lightning fast as I had limited time today. Perhaps, when I wake up tomorrow, I might add an embellishment or so around the lid, top, sides… I’ll show you when I do.
How to Get ** Your ** Free French Wrapping Paper?
To get a .pdf of both of my wrapping papers with vintage French designs, just sign up for my newsletter. The signup box is on the top right menu.
(Do’s/Don’ts: Do confirm your email address, and then wait for the autoresponder with the links. Do check your junk mail folder if need be. Don’t sign up from behind a firewall nor with a Yahoo/Hotmail/AOL email address as these won’t allow autoresponders to come through to you (and you will never know and blame me for not getting it.. bla bla…) Use your domain name-based or Gmail account and all should be well. Enjoy the patterns and freebies).
Tip: enlarge/reduce the wrapping paper to the scale you need for your project.
P.S. Stay tuned for the designs of matching recipe cards. Let’s see if I have time for that over the weekend.
Salut!!
