Great DIY Idea for Kids Bedroom Furniture.
That time of the year again that you are cleaning up that overflowing toy cabinet and are spritzing up the kids bedrooms, be that with new kids furniture and home décor accessories??!
Well, here’s an idea for you: make yourself a set of sophisticated ‘grown-up’ equestrian bookends from your old kid toys.
I love this so much, I want to go hunt for some moms with boys who have outgrown their plastic toy animals. Heck, I’ll buy the whole play farm of them!!

Yes, these equestrian bookends can be interpreted as modern or whimsical, depending on other room décor accents.
My Quick 1,2,3 How-to Instructions
- Made with a simple plastic toy horse, cut in two;
- Gorilla-glued it onto two pieces of wood that were nailed together in L-shape; and
- Spray-painted lime green. Well, actually, it was Krylon Ivy Leaf – green. I made it look lime green, as I thought that would look more fun.
