A recycled music cabinet makeover before and after photos
Paul and Cathy from 'One Creative Couple' found this beauty of a flee-market find. It is a vintage music cabinet to store sheet music. It me it could store many other items, but that's an aside story.
How to do an cabinet makeover - the foundation steps;
Cathy had a vision to refinish as Vintage French. First they added a two tone color scheme, French Blue and Creme, to the entire cabinet. Paul created a cartouche on the main door and surround it with French looking scrolls. Scrolls frame a painting so well.
Then, use your best French painting skills to paint on the flower vignette. If you want, eye some old French paintings for ideas and compositions. Or, if this is more your think, decoupage the flower vignette.
This 'after'- photo shows the gorgeous front-panel with romantic ‘French’ flowers in a duo-toned cabinet.
The final result!
I think Paul and Cathy's project was very successful.
